Changing oil...
We are getting really pumped about Saturday. On Saturday April 17th from 9 AM to 1 PM we are going to offer a free oil change, fluid/tire check, and car wash for single moms and widows, etc.. Just come to the church parking lot at 2109 Cincinnati Road in Georgetown during these hours and we'll take care of your vehicle for you- for free!
We are pumped because it is our way of saying that we love you and, more importantly, that God loves you. Our prayer is constantly that God is honored by everything we do, that we'll strive to connect everyone in Scott County and beyond to Jesus Christ, and to serve Christ by serving others in our world. It's why we exist- period.
For us, the oil change is a picture of what God is doing in our lives. After all, we're being changed too! Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again so that we may live a new life. Everyone of us have sinned and need to be transfomed by the grace of God in Christ Jesus. This happens as we turn from our sin, trust Him by faith to forgive us of our sins, and follow Jesus wherever he leads us. As we do this, we are changed from who we were to who he wants us to be in him. So, we're pumped about what God has done and what God is going to continue to do! |
